Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it?
From comparing my preliminary task to my thriller it is very easy to see that me, and my group, have developed filming and editing techniques severely.
In terms of filming, we have significantly improved in terms of camera angles, the amount of shots we took etc. In our thriller, the amount of shots we did, in relationship to the different type of shots we did shows how much the group has progressed.
Also, in editing we have drastically improved. From the visibly amateur/novice editing work with some failed moments etc, to a successful, satisfying final piece in our Thriller 'Ready or Not'. Our thriller contains very quick cuts to match the fast paced action that takes place.

What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
During this course, i have managed to learn how to use a variety of technologies in which i was previously inexperienced in using.

How did you attract /address your audience?
To attract this young, urban audience we used a variety of techniques.
Characters: Our characters are young, gang members of multiple ethnic backgrounds. We did this because we wanted to attract an audience who have a similar background to characters, or more specifically who can relate to and understand the characters as being something more than fiction, but as a representation of London youth, forced into criminal activity out of: greed, hunger or by force.
Music: We used a hip-hop song in the opening as hip-hop/rap music is the favoured genre of music amongst the majority of urban youth across England, and even globally. Also, the hip-hop theme fits into the theme of criminality, without becoming too prejudiced and stereotypical and pigeon-holing the target audience as criminal sympathizers, more as people with an understanding of the life in which the characters lead.
Plot: The plot revolves around a bag/briefcase, and in the opening scene we do not see what is in said briefcase, and the lives affected by the chase for the briefcase. The issues touched upon are: greed, crime, betrayal and in typical thriller fashion a game of cat and mouse. I think that this would be very appealing to our target audience, as with an urban backdrop and theme, the tension and adrenaline caused by this battle for the mysterious briefcase would cause an 'edge-of-seat' feeling for the audience
